IOP Program Near
Keller, TX

At All Points North DFW (APN DFW), our intensive outpatient program (IOP) offers clinically driven care for substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions, designed to help you build stability without stepping away from your life.

What Actually Is IOP Treatment?

An intensive outpatient program (IOP) is a structured level of treatment that provides meaningful clinical support while you stay connected to daily responsibilities, work, family, school, and real-life routines.

IOP is often the right fit when weekly therapy isn’t enough structure, but 24/7 care isn’t clinically necessary. It can also be a step-down option after higher levels of care (detox, residential/RTC, or PHP), so support doesn’t drop off after early progress.

The Levels of Care We Provide in Dallas-Fort Worth

You can enter care where you are. We’ll help you choose the safest and most effective starting point, and map out what comes next, so progress doesn’t drop off during transitions.

Medically Supervised Detox

Detox is the right starting point when there’s substance use or alcohol withdrawal risk, medical concern, or multiple prior attempts to discontinue use without lasting success. APN provides 24/7 medical supervision for withdrawal management and helps you plan the next steps early, so you complete detox with a clear path forward.

Residential Treatment (Inpatient Rehab)

Residential care is suitable when you need a full-time structure, separation from triggers, and consistent accountability. APN describes residential treatment as 24/7 care and support in a structured environment, with step-down planning so support doesn’t drop off after discharge.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

PHP provides a full day of structured clinical programming while you live outside of 24/7 residential care. A partial hospitalization program often serves as a step-down from residential care or a step-up when outpatient care lacks sufficient structure.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

IOP fits when you need consistent structure while staying connected to work, family, and daily responsibilities. At APN Dallas-Fort Worth, IOP includes three 3-hour group meetings per week, with weekly individual sessions. Clients typically stay engaged for an average of 8 weeks and can join anytime with rolling admission (exact fit depends on clinical needs).

Who Benefits from IOP at APN DFW?

IOP can be a strong fit for adults who need meaningful structure and accountability while maintaining a connection to work and home life.

You may benefit from IOP if you:

  • Keep telling yourself you’ll “get it under control soon,” but “soon” has become a pattern
  • Can function day-to-day, but your stability is slipping quietly
  • Notice anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, or burnout, feeding the cycle
  • Need support that’s strong enough to reduce relapse risk in real-world environments

When Is Another Level of Care Safer?

Sometimes the best next step isn’t IOP, especially if withdrawal risk is present, safety is compromised, or symptoms are escalating. In those cases, a higher level of care may be clinically appropriate first, such as:

  • Medically supervised detox (24/7)
  • Residential treatment (RTC)
  • Partial hospitalization programming (PHP)

We’ll help you determine the right left of care quickly and directly, with clinician guidance, so you’re not guessing.

Take the Next Step

Getting started is as easy as picking up the phone for a confidential conversation. We’ll coordinate all the details and next steps, and communicate with you throughout the entire process. Here’s what to expect:

  1. Call admissions and share what’s been happening (as much or as little as you want)
  2. Confirm clinical fit (IOP vs PHP vs residential/RTC vs detox)
  3. Verify insurance and review options
  4. Start with the right entry point and a continuity plan for what comes next

What comes next is up to you. We’re here and ready to support you.

Our Clinical Team at APN DFW

Your care should feel calm, structured, and clinically credible, not vague or cookie-cutter.

At APN DFW, IOP is supported by a multidisciplinary clinical model that may include:

  • Licensed therapists and addiction-focused clinicians
  • Dual diagnosis-informed treatment planning (substance use + co-occurring mental health)
  • Care coordination and continuity planning across levels of care

The goal is simple: identify what’s driving the pattern, treat the full picture, and build a plan that holds up after early progress and evolves with your needs.

Insurance & Payment

Coverage varies by plan, and we can work with you to verify your insurance benefits. The quickest way to get accurate information is a confidential call with admissions. We’ll confirm your benefits, explain what your plan may cover for IOP, and review any expected out-of-pocket costs based on the information available at the time of verification.

If you’re unsure which level of care fits your needs, we can also outline next-step options and the intake process. No pressure, just clarity on coverage and scheduling so you can make a decision that works with real life.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if IOP is the right level of care?
That’s exactly what admissions helps you determine. If detox, residential, or PHP is clinically safer, we’ll tell you and explain why, clearly.
Many people choose IOP because it’s designed to provide structured support while staying connected to responsibilities. Your schedule and plan depend on clinical need.
Yes. Substance use and mental health concerns often reinforce each other. We take a coordinated approach to treat the symptoms and the root cause.
That’s common when symptoms, stress patterns, and relapse risk need more structure than weekly sessions can provide. IOP adds consistent programming, accountability, and relapse prevention work. Our approach has worked for thousands of other clients, and it can work for you, too.
If safety or stability are at risk, we’ll recommend the appropriate starting point (detox, residential/RTC, or PHP) and outline what step-down into IOP would look like.
We treat privacy seriously. If you have specific concerns (professional role, family dynamics, visibility), tell admissions, we’ll handle the conversation with discretion.
